Black sapote or otherwise know as, the chocolate pudding fruit! Add a little cacao powder, sweetener of your choice, some almond butter (because why not?) and you got yourself a delicious & healthy chocolate pudding. An added bonus (as if we needed one): this fruit has enough vitamin C to fulfill 6 times your daily requirement!

Grown in Homestead.

When is it ripe? Wait until the fruit is extremely soft and black on the outside, then it is perfect to eat.

How do I eat it? Once it's ripe, cut in half and scoop out the pudding-like flesh. The skin is edible but not everyone likes it. Give it a try and let us know what you think! Store in the fridge for up to a week and up to 1 month in the freezer.
